For registering does the name you enter need the prefix i.e. if my characters name was MaxSteele would you have to include the s10116. before hand making the full name s10116.MaxSteele?

The s10116 just identifies the server, I believe. :)

I acedetnly used a different nickname than I put on bananatic, will that make a difference and will they still reward me when I complete quests?
