Flash games are those games that you can casually play during the day, in any span of time that you have free. These games started from humble origins, off of websites such as Facebook and Twitter, and slowly progressed into a vast category spanning various genres. These games may be complete wastes of time, but they can be lifesavers when it comes to killing boredom and whiling away time. While the games may be fun to play, they haven’t yet reached the level of RPGs and developed fantasy games.
Mother Load is a game that was released in the early 2000's and remains popular to date. The game targets the old quest for gold, with players burrowing through the dirt under the surface of Mars. The players use arrow keys to control the mining pods and in-game purchases that allow players to enhance their performance within the game.
Another Flash classic, Super Mario 63, allows the players to enter a fan made game world. Players control Mario and lead him through a series of challenges to Princess Peach. The controls are pretty basic- the user employs the keyboard to control the character and maneuver him through the obstacles.
The rogue soul is another flash game that proves that you don’t need high definition graphics to be entertaining. The game features a ninja style combat mode, with the player taking control of Rogue, a thief who prides himself on being the best at his work. Players have to get the character through a series of missions to establish him as the best thief in the game after rival characters plan to usurp his crown.
